Your journey as a Hypopressive Instructor

Become a Certified Hypopressive Instructor

Are you passionate about helping others achieve optimal pelvic floor health? Adding Hypopressives to your skill set can transform your approach to core and pelvic floor training, providing a unique, holistic method that complements other exercise modalities or stands alone as a powerful program.

Why Hypopressives?

The Hypopressive Training System redefines how we view core and pelvic floor health. This technique combines a unique breathing method with poses that connect the entire body, offering a comprehensive approach to fitness and rehabilitation. Initially developed as a non-surgical treatment for women with pelvic floor dysfunction, the benefits of Hypopressives extend across all ages, fitness levels, and lifestyles.

Following injury in 2014, I developed a rectocele prolapse, leaving me unable to participate in my sport of Triathlon. Medically I was offered surgery, I was very reluctant to pursue that route for many reasons.

I started researching alternative treatments which thankfully brought me to Hypopressive Low Pressure Exercise and Abigail Lord (nee Maydew.) Hypopressivescotland.com .  Travelling to Scotland first as a client and later as a student, I am so delighted to have found Hypopressives and Abby.

I became symptom free largely due to practising Hypopressives . I was able after a couple of years to return to full training and have since completed many triathlon events, including both half and full Ironman Triathlon distances. Having previously been advised medically to give up running , I was and am absolutely delighted to have found an alternative route and avoided surgery.

Abby has been amazing as a practitioner,  teacher and friend. She has provided support continually, throughout my recovery journey and pathway to becoming a qualified Hypopressive Instructor.

I am excited and looking forward to travelling to train for my level 3 with Abby at Hypopressive Scotland in June .

Thank you for a fabulous weekend of really useful information. In fact, I have put some of my learnings into action with one of my ladies this morning. She is a new client who has done a couple of sessions as a beginner. It turned out to be a 1 2 1 class for her which gave us a chance to have a really good chat. Goodness me, everything we talked about over the weekend, poor breathing, pelvic floor issues, bladder problems, amongst other things. No help from drs. She said to me "Sarah, thank goodness I found you!" And thank goodness I found you Abby..!!

I am deeply thankful to Abby for the brilliant course and am thrilled to now be part of the team.  I found the course so inspirational and Abby is an amazing teacher, very patient, very intelligent and breaks things down so it’s easy to understand.  I am very much looking forward to my future as a Hypopressives teacher, and going on to do the level 3, I can’t thank you enough Abby x

I just wanted to share that I have now been able to introduce some standing back extension into my Pilates practice. That part of my thoracic spine has been solid for decades. I can now feel the vertebra moving almost individually. It really is a bloody miracle!!! And that’s not to mention my pelvic floor. Hypopressives should be at the forefront of everything in the sports and NHS/social care arena. The whole population would benefit
