Hypopressive Teacher Training UK
Level 1 Certification | Hybrid Online & In-Person | Edinburgh
Become a certified Hypopressive teacher through a structured, evidence-informed training that combines online theory, live coaching practice and in-person assessment.
This Level 1 Hypopressive Teacher Training is designed for movement professionals, personal trainers, Pilates teachers, yoga teachers and pelvic health specialists who want to confidently coach the Hypopressive technique, breath cycle and apnoea.
Course Structure
1. Online Theory (On-Demand Portal)
All foundational theory is delivered through the online learning portal and must be completed before attending the practical sessions.
The theory covers:
The Hypopressive concept and evolution
Physiology of intra-abdominal pressure
The breath cycle and apnoea mechanics
Posturology and pressure management
Health, prevention and clinical applications
Technical principles
Exercise progressions and transitions
Myofascial release foundations
Coaching considerations and contraindications
Time commitment: Minimum 15 hours including revision.
This section builds the scientific and biomechanical understanding required to safely teach Hypopressives.
2. Practical Training (Hybrid Delivery)
The practical component is delivered in a hybrid format:
1 live Zoom session – learning foundational poses and breathwork mechanics
1 full in-person training day in Edinburgh – refining technique, cueing, corrections and teaching skills
For those outside Scotland or the UK, the in-person day can be attended live via Zoom.
During the practical training you will learn how to:
Coach the 360° breath pattern
Guide safe and effective apnoea
Teach foundational Hypopressive postures
Correct alignment and pressure strategy
Structure a Level 1 sequence for clients
Practical time commitment: Approximately 15 hours including video submission and feedback.
Assessment & Examination
To complete your Hypopressive Certification, you will:
Submit 2 practical coaching videos
Coaching the 360° breath and apnoea
Coaching a client through the full Level 1 sequence
Complete a 30-question theory examination based on course content
This ensures you graduate with both theoretical understanding and practical coaching competency.
Certification Outcome
Upon successful completion, you will:
✔ Qualify to train individual clients in the Hypopressive technique
✔ Demonstrate competency in coaching breath, apnoea and foundational postures
✔ Be recognised as a certified Hypopressive Level 1 TeacherYou will be expected to continue personal practice before coaching widely, so you embody the method and understand it from the inside out.

Advanced Hypopressive Teacher Training UK
Level 2 Certification | Fascia, Biogenesis & Advanced Breathwork | Hybrid Online & Edinburgh
Deepen your expertise in the Hypopressive method with advanced training in fascia, biogenesis, complex movement integration and layered breathwork strategies.
This Level 2 Hypopressive Teacher Training is designed for certified Level 1 teachers and movement professionals who want to confidently assess, prescribe and teach advanced Hypopressive programmes.
Delivered in the same hybrid structure as Level 1, this course blends on-demand theory with live practical coaching and in-person refinement in Edinburgh (or fully online via Zoom).

Level 1 Hypopressive Teacher Training
Residential Immersive | Scotland | Limited to 4 Participants
This Level 1 Hypopressive Teacher Training is offered in a residential immersive format for movement and health professionals who value direct supervision alongside structured online study.
The theoretical component is completed in advance through the on-demand portal, allowing you to arrive prepared and ready to apply what you have learned.
The in-person residential days are dedicated to refinement — observing, practising, adjusting and understanding the method in your own body before teaching it to others.
Training Structure
Online Theory (Pre-Course Study)
All participants complete the Level 1 theoretical modules before attending. This includes:
The Hypopressive concept and its development
Intra-abdominal pressure and breath mechanics
360° breath strategy
Introduction to apnoea
Posturology and alignment principles
Foundational sequences
Basic myofascial integration
Teaching considerations and contraindications
Minimum time commitment: 15 hours including revision.
This pre-study ensures our time together is focused on application rather than information delivery.
Residential Practical Immersion
The residential component allows space for careful supervision and individual feedback.
During the practical days, you will:
Refine your own breath mechanics
Practise safe and effective apnoea
Receive postural correction
Learn to structure and teach foundational sequences
Develop clear and accurate coaching language
Practise teaching in a supported environment
Each participant is observed individually. Corrections are specific and considered. Questions are welcomed and discussed in depth.
The small cohort supports meaningful dialogue and professional exchange.
Cohort Size
This residential training is limited to four participants.
Accommodation options include:
One shared occupancy space
Three solo occupancy rooms
The group remains intentionally small so that each participant receives direct supervision and time for personal refinement.
Once the four places are allocated, booking closes.
Learning Environment
Accommodation and meals are included to allow you to remain focused on learning.
Outside teaching hours, participants have access to coastal walking routes, beach space, a hot tub and a barrel sauna.
These facilities are optional and available for rest and integration between sessions.
The environment is calm, contained and conducive to focused study.
Assessment & Certification
To complete Level 1 certification, participants will:
Submit two teaching videos
Coaching the 360° breath and apnoea
Coaching a full Level 1 sequence
Complete the Level 1 theory examination
Upon successful completion, you will qualify to teach individual clients the Level 1 Hypopressive technique.
