An 8-Week Embodied Movement Series
Breath, anatomy, TRE® and gentle Hypopressive exploration for whole-body pelvic floor support
This 8-week small group course on Thursday evenings at Leith Pilates Studio - Edinburgh is a gentle, intelligent exploration of breath, movement, anatomy, and nervous system regulation.
Blending Franklin Method imagery and embodiment, Hypopressives, and TRE®, this series is designed to help you understand your body more deeply and experience change from the inside out.
Each week we will focus on a different area of the body and how it relates to breath, pressure, posture, movement, and pelvic floor function. Rather than forcing or fixing, this course is about building awareness, creating options, and helping the body find a little more space, support, and ease.
This is not a fitness class in the traditional sense. It is a progressive journey through the body, using breath, imagery, anatomy, gentle movement, tension release, and simple practical tools to help you feel more connected and more at home in yourself.
Every class includes a clear intention, practical teaching, embodied anatomy, and a post-class guide with movement snacks, awareness practices, and simple ways to continue the work between sessions.
What we will explore
Session 1
The Breath, the Art of Change, and TRE®
We begin with the breath. This session explores how breathing shapes pressure, posture, nervous system state, and the way we feel in our body. We will introduce the idea of change as something that begins with awareness, and we will close with TRE® to support release and regulation.
Session 2
Breath, Pelvis, Sacrum, Embodied Anatomy, and TRE®
We revisit the breath and begin to bring in the pelvis and sacrum. Through embodied anatomy, we will explore how this area moves, responds, protects, and supports. TRE® will help us notice and soften patterns of holding.
Session 3
The Spine, Breath, Embodied Anatomy, and TRE®
This session focuses on the spine as a living, responsive structure. We will explore spinal movement, breath relationship, and how the spine influences support, adaptability, and whole-body organisation.
Session 4
The Knee, Embodied Anatomy, Breath, and TRE®
The knee is often asked to manage more than its fair share. In this class we will explore the knee in relation to the feet, pelvis, and movement patterns, using anatomy, embodiment, and breath to improve awareness and options.
Session 5
The Shoulders, Embodiment, Movement, Breath, and TRE®
Shoulders affect breathing more than most people realise. This session explores shoulder organisation, rib movement, upper body tension, and the relationship between the shoulders, neck, breath, and whole-body support.
Session 6
The Feet, Legs, and Pelvis, with Breath and TRE®
Here we explore the powerful relationship between the ground, the legs, and the pelvis. We will look at how the feet and legs influence posture, pressure management, and pelvic floor function, and how changing what happens below can affect everything above.
Session 7
Bands, Balls, Movement Potential, Hypopressives, and TRE®
In this session we use bands and balls to create new movement possibilities, wake up awareness, and improve the body’s sense of support and adaptability. We will also begin to bring in more Hypopressive work in a gentle, accessible way.
Session 8
Spine Dance, Shoulder Flow, Rib and Pelvic Dance, Knee Rhythms, Short Hypopressive Flow, and TRE®
Our final session brings the pieces together. We will explore rhythmic movement through the spine, shoulders, ribs, pelvis, and knees, followed by a short Hypopressive flow and TRE® to support integration, release, and a deeper sense of connection.

TRE®️ - Group Session
Online TRE® Group Session (Maximum 8 Participants)
Delivered via zoom on the 31st of October 11.15-12.30pm
TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a gentle, empowering method that helps your body naturally release deep muscular tension and stored stress through its innate shaking response. These neurogenic tremors allow the body to reset, soften protective patterns, and restore a greater sense of calm, balance, and resilience.
In this small online group, you’ll be guided step by step through the simple sequence of movements that activate the tremor reflex. With only 6 participants, there is plenty of space for you to feel supported, safe, and in control of your own experience.
What you’ll need:
A quiet space where you won’t be disturbed
A yoga mat or comfortable floor space (a blanket nearby for comfort is helpful)
Stable internet connection and camera set up so I can support you
Benefits of TRE® may include:
Release of muscle tension and tightness
Improved sleep and energy levels
A calmer, more regulated nervous system
Greater resilience to everyday stress
No prior experience is required. You will always be encouraged to go at your own pace and can stop or rest at any time. Whether you’re looking for stress relief, nervous system support, or simply a space to unwind, TRE® online offers a gentle pathway back to balance from the comfort of your own home.

Pelvic power workshop

There is a way the pelvis is meant to move.
Not rigid.
Not braced.
Not gripping for dear life.
But fluid. Responsive. Juicy.
On Saturday 14th March, we gather for a three-hour deep dive into the living, breathing intelligence of your pelvis, at the beautiful The Wellness Barn in Swanston, Edinburgh.
This is not a “tighten and squeeze” session.
It’s an exploration of:
• How the pelvis actually moves in three dimensions
• How breath regulates pressure through the diaphragm, abdominal wall and pelvic floor
• How to keep the spine supple and the shoulders free
• How nervous system regulation influences pelvic function
What we’ll explore
1️⃣ Pelvic Mapping & Movement
We’ll gently explore how your pelvis tilts, rotates, glides and responds to load.
Understanding movement reduces fear.
And fear reduction changes muscle tone.
2️⃣ Keeping It Juicy
Healthy fascia is hydrated fascia.
We’ll use rhythm, spirals and subtle mobility work to restore elasticity and responsiveness.
3️⃣ Pelvic Dance
Yes, a pelvic dance.
Because the pelvis is not a static bowl.
It’s a dynamic centre.
Expect grounded, flowing, confidence-building movement.
4️⃣ Breath & Pressure
You’ll learn how breath regulates internal pressure so your spine stays buoyant and your shoulders stay free.
This is functional strength, not bracing, not gripping, but coordinated support.
5️⃣ Introduction to TRE® and Natural Tremors
We’ll gently explore tremor as a natural nervous system reset.
These reflexive movements can help discharge excess tension and support a more functional pelvic floor.
6️⃣ Constructive Rest
We close with quiet integration.
Stillness.
Space.
Time for the system to settle.
Who This Is For
• Women experiencing pelvic floor symptoms
• Women wanting deeper understanding of breath and pressure
• Movement teachers wanting embodied insight
• Anyone curious about TRE® and nervous system regulation
• Anyone who feels their pelvis deserves more kindness
You do not need experience in Hypopressives or TRE®.
Everything will be guided safely and progressively.
