Pelvic Power & Release Workshop

Friday 6th December | 9:30 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. | The Wellness Barn, Edinburgh

Join Abby Lord for a transformative 3-hour embodied workshop designed to help you reconnect with your centre, release stored tension, and rediscover ease through the whole body.

This immersive session blends Franklin Method® Pelvic Power, Hypopressive breathwork, and TRE® (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) — three powerful modalities that work together to restore balance, function, and flow from the inside out.

Part One: Franklin Method® Pelvic Power

We’ll begin with the Franklin Method this is a science-based, movement-rich exploration of how your pelvis is designed to move. Using imagery, gentle mobilisation, and experiential anatomy, you’ll learn how your sit bones, sacrum, and hip joints interact to create stability and fluidity.
Expect to sense how subtle changes in awareness can improve posture, release unnecessary effort, and awaken natural coordination through your core and spine.
As you reconnect with the structure and rhythm of your pelvis, you’ll discover a new sense of lightness, balance, and inner strength.

Part Two: Hypopressive Breathing & Pressure Awareness

Building on this embodied awareness, we’ll move into Hypopressive breathing this is a pressure-management technique that restores the natural synergy between the diaphragm, core, and pelvic floor.
Through guided breath sequences and gentle apnoea (breath-hold) work, you’ll learn how to create space through your ribcage, reduce downward pressure on the pelvic organs, and activate your deep stabilising system reflexively.
This is not about pulling in or squeezing; it’s about learning to let the breath do the work.
The result is a sense of decompression, improved posture, and a calmer nervous system which creates the perfect bridge between structure and softness.

Part Three: TRE® – Tension & Trauma Release

To complete the morning, we’ll move into TRE® (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) which is a gentle process that invites your body into its natural, neurogenic tremor.
This innate shaking mechanism allows your system to discharge deep muscular tension and stored stress, helping you return to a state of regulation and grounded presence.
You’ll experience how this release complements the earlier breath and movement work, integrating everything through calm, embodied rest.

You’ll Leave Feeling

  • Lighter, taller, and more connected through your centre

  • Grounded in your body yet deeply relaxed

  • Clear on how to use breath and imagery to support your pelvic health

  • Rebalanced in both your muscles and your nervous system

No experience is required, just bring your curiosity, comfortable clothes, and a mat.
This workshop is ideal for anyone experiencing pelvic tension, leaking, heaviness, or simply wanting to understand and nurture their body on a deeper level.

Spaces are limited to keep the session personal and supportive.
Book early to secure your place and give yourself the gift of movement, breath, and release.

TRE®️ - Group Session

Online TRE® Group Session (Maximum 8 Participants)

Delivered via zoom on the 31st of October 11.15-12.30pm

TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a gentle, empowering method that helps your body naturally release deep muscular tension and stored stress through its innate shaking response. These neurogenic tremors allow the body to reset, soften protective patterns, and restore a greater sense of calm, balance, and resilience.

In this small online group, you’ll be guided step by step through the simple sequence of movements that activate the tremor reflex. With only 6 participants, there is plenty of space for you to feel supported, safe, and in control of your own experience.

What you’ll need:

  • A quiet space where you won’t be disturbed

  • A yoga mat or comfortable floor space (a blanket nearby for comfort is helpful)

  • Stable internet connection and camera set up so I can support you

Benefits of TRE® may include:

  • Release of muscle tension and tightness

  • Improved sleep and energy levels

  • A calmer, more regulated nervous system

  • Greater resilience to everyday stress

No prior experience is required. You will always be encouraged to go at your own pace and can stop or rest at any time. Whether you’re looking for stress relief, nervous system support, or simply a space to unwind, TRE® online offers a gentle pathway back to balance from the comfort of your own home.
